Stand-up of a service-oriented architecture (SOA) in a legacy mainframe environment, through implementation of an enterprise service bus (ESB) and building a suite of strategic services at a global retail bank, including programme shaping, delivery execution and assurance, vendor management, and developing a bank-wide communications strategy to drive engagement and adoption of services.
Strategic review of Core modernisation options for a global retail bank including needs analysis and business case development, options analysis and recommendations, costing, vendor management, and definition of a high-level strategic roadmap for transformation.
With experience working at all levels of client organisations, from Board down to individual execution teams, John brings a deep understanding of how to deliver through the complex business, regulatory, and technology challenges facing banks today. In addition, he has extensive experience shaping responses to regulatory bodies (FCA and PRA), in recovery of distressed programmes, and solution architecture.
